2003, Kuala Lumpur-based Melodisaster launched Hyper Music — and the progressive Rock movement — into the underground scene with the release of their 2004 1st Demo Their emotionally abrasive, guitar-driven sound was entirely original blend of Rock's trademark aggression, Heavy Metal's irreverent power and early Alternative Rock's addictive vocal melodies and set the tone for all Alternative Music to follow. Melodisaster is still considered the definitive Rock band.
