MELANCHOLIEIA BIOGRAPHY 2008?
Founded by '2017', Melancholieia was created from the dissatisfaction of the state of the world, the dissatisfaction of the current state of music, and their own personal descent. In hopes of one day assisting to 'change the world' or altering music history, Melancholieia has begun performing shows throughout the U.S. and revealing their music to as many people as they can, and constantly challenging themselves to accomplish anything possible or 'impossible'.
Melancholieia released their debut album/EP 'Delujourie' in 2004, and released their 2nd E.P. Welcoming The Loss Of Innocence (The Year Of 777) at the beginning of 2008. Since those releases have taken place, Melancholieia has sold over 6000 copies of their records since their release without any assistance from Record Labels, Distribution, Advertisement, Media, or Management. However, Melancholieia is persuing the possibilty of seeking assistance from a record company and other sources that will continue to expand Melancholieia's 'horizons', and benefit Melancholieia's future as long as they can continue to be 'themselves' and persue their artistic vision without compromise.
They have also opened for many National Acts such as Berlin, Godhead, Loser (Featuring John 5 of Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie), Bow Wow Wow (Featuring Adrian Young of No Doubt), The Start (Featuring Adrian Young of No Doubt), and The Dreaming (Featuring Christopher Hall of Stabbing Westward). Melancholieia is slowly preparing themselves to 'Alter The World' with their determination to create music and art that will hopefully be unlike anything people have ever heard before, present 'new philosophies and ideas' to the world, and most importantly hope to really inspire people during their worst and most valuable times in life.
Melancholieia is not just a band or just another form of entertainment. They are a state of mind. They are a reflection of the world, our surroundings, a reflection of our 'worst enemies', a reflection of our biggest fears, and a reflection of ourselves. A reflection of you and I, and we have only just begun.
