Mike Meadows

Mike Meadows is a freelance percussionist and drummer based in Austin,TX. Originally from Atlanta, Mike has been playing music since age three. From Classical and Jazz to Pop and World Music he's seen it all (and played some of it too). Currently his heart and soul lies with his band porterdavis (www.loveporterdavis.com), but he still manages to stay busy with a variety of musical endeavors in the spaces between. Mike's second passion is a performance art known as perceptionism. Perceptionism is about exploring the subtle possibilities of the human mind. Using intuition, suggestion, observation, and empathy; Mike creates a unique performance that entertains and mystifies. He's also a sucker for sushi and BBQ, but that's a whole 'nother story.
