Neeno began his musical journey accompanying his MC acquaintances on stage whilst they performed at raves. He soon after went to prison and due to his musical interest and the talent of his friends, he was inspired to write lyrics to the influential music of the time, ‘Jungle’. After being released on bail, he performed his lyrics to friends and received positive responses. He was then sentenced to a further four years imprisonment where he created primitive beats banging on tables while the likes of Crazy Titch spat lyrics to go with it. It was then that he acknowledged the skills necessary to spit and began writing lyrics in his cell motivated towards improvement. After turning 18 Neeno moved wing and teamed up with ‘a deeper spitter’ named ‘Dr Bionic’ who showed him how to perfect his spitting. During which he crossed paths with ‘Gods gift’ (a spitter on the Feltham institute radio station) from whom he picked up indirect tips and gained a certain respect for his music. A variation of flows were learned from listening to MC’s like Heartless crew and PAUG. Others compared his levels to that of top East London MC’s at the time. Neeno’s first time on the mic saw his opponent slewed. He then began ghost writing, by which time it was evident that he was exceptionally talented considering he had only been spitting for a year. Up to this point his lyrics had only consisted of jail life and the utilisation of intelligence. There was one element missing, ‘street life’.

Sadly two weeks before release Neeno’s best friend died and although grieving, he persisted to continue writing. Upon release he was embraced by elder associates and exposed to the dredges of street life. This influence dominated his life until the only channel of expression was through his lyrics, which had an increasingly negative content. Thankfully he was introduced to a producer called F1 in 2003 the irony being that they had attended the same primary school. Together they executed tunes such as 'Armageddon'and 'I Hate You'. During which he linked up with DJ ‘She Devil’ who played the managerial role and showed him there was more to life than the roads. She was one of few who really had faith in him at the time. He then hooked up with a hip-hop clique called ‘Ruff child’ and became a close acquaintance with a member named ‘Haze’. At the same time F1 and affiliates opened a studio. He unavoidably had to disassociate himself after conflicting ideas about the image they wanted to portray.

In 2006 Neeno started working with Doc G (former C4 member). Their first project being the ‘Shoot’ rhythm, which has had a massive response from those who’ve heard it.

Neeno brings a new essence to the UK music industry, with his unique style, versatility and precise word play.

Look out for his mix tape "LET EM KNOW" in progress with joints like; ‘Shoot’ and ‘The Other Side’.
