Nato il 11/08/66: all'età di 10 anni ha avuto il suo primo approccio con la batteria, è stato discepolo del maestro Enrico Lucchini (jazz master europeo). Batterista di discendenza jazz cresciuto negli anni ottanta è il vero batterista fusion con forte personalità. Egli stesso si definisce liquid groove man per la rotondezza del suono e per la gestualità dei movimenti. Nel 1993 Maxx si trasferisce a Los Angeles per studiare con Chad Wacherman, questa esperienza avrà un'enorme influenza artistica nella sua formazione professionale. Si è specializzato anche nell' R&B e possiede un groove notevole.

Nel pop ha collaborato con: Laura Pausini, Nek, 883, Max Pezzali, Franco Battiato, Patty Pravo, Fabio Concato, Paola e Chiara, Enzo Jannacci, Rossana Casale, Tosca e Ornella Vanoni. Nel mese di marzo 2002 partecipa al tributo in memorial a Jeffrey Porcaro a Coblenza, Germania. Da quattro anni è tornato all'attività jazzistica e collabora con Randy Brecker, Antonio Faraò, Ada Rovatti, Jeff Berlin, Othello Molineaux, Mauro Negri, Horacio "EL NEGRO" Hernandez, Mike Stern, Furio Di Castri, Flavio Boltro, Andrea Dulbecco, George Robert, Perico Sambeat, Mark Nightingale, Sonny Taylor, Laura Fedele, Massimo Moriconi, Marco Bianchi, Paolo Birro, Dario Faiella, Gigi Ciffarelli, Christian Galvez, Bebo Ferra e altri nel jazz.

Nel 1992 fonda un trio jazz: "NEW TRIO ONE" dove partecipa a diversi festival europei. Un altra spettacolare formazione è "La Drummeria": gruppo formato da cinque batteristi. Nel mese di aprile con il suo nuovo 4etto inizia un tour "MAXX FURIAN JAZZ TIME" (Mattia Cigalini, Michele Tacchi, Gianluca Di Ienno), altra formazione"SPECS PEOPLE"con Bebo Ferra e Gianluca Di Ienno.
