Max Pashm first rose to fame in the late nineties with his debut album ‘Weddings, Bar-mitzvahs & Funerals’ released on Sony Music in 1997.

He thrilled audiences worldwide with his unique blend of sequenced beats, fused with his live percussion and Greek, Hebrew & English vocals.

As one of the early pioneers of world/fusion music, he went on to work with Nitin Sawhney, Levellers and has remixed artists including Ekova, Ska Cubano, Sex Pistols to name but a few.

His groundbreaking Kritika/Dance song ‘Queen of Sikim’ from the first album charted across Europe.

After a short break following the birth of his daughter, Max formed the ‘Max Pashm Band.’.

Max also remixes other artists, as he has done since the late nineties and compiles compilations for Nascente Records, including the recent release ‘Beginners guide to Greece’.

The long awaited new album ‘Never mind the Balkans – Here’s Max Pashm ‘ was officially released on September 29th 2008.

The album was released on the band’s own label ‘Elektrikos/Organikos Records in the U.K and rest of the world and distributed by'Proper Distribution', and is also available through the ‘Max Pashm Shop’.
