Rock & World music
MA VALISE created a proper musical style beyond frontiers, inbetween world music and rock. The musicians who grew up as close freinds and who discovered music at the same time grab musical influences out of many different cultures and put them together to form a very warm travelling music. Gipsy dances, french alternative scene, dub, hip hop, cumbia…
They take inspirations everywhere and blend them with the energy of the rock'n roll the grew up listening to.
Always willing to meet new people, to share musical moments with other bands, Ma Valise is determined to play everywhere in France, in Germany, in Algeria, in Moroco, in Nederlands, in Bosnia, in China, in Swiss, in Great Britain and further on if possible. This is also why the members of the band are deeply involved in many projects in association with lots of people : They set up big tops, they take part in the organisation of festivals mixing puppets, music, video and art decoration… This is a real way of life for them that they manage to traduce in their songs and this is also a way to escape from the musical routine : rehersals/road/shows/hotel… Ma Valise is more than a band and they spread their positive energy everywhere they go !

Entre rock, chanson et musiques du monde, MA VALISE s'invente un style «sans frontières» nourri des musiques tziganes et populaires d'Europe de l'Est, de rock, de sonorités africaines, latines ou jamaïcaines. Chanteurs polyglottes (français, roumain, espagnol, anglais, créole ou wolof), ces 4 musiciens offrent un métissage festif et original en mélangeant les langues du monde comme un curry d'humanité.
Depuis 2000, le groupe joue une musique engagée contre toute forme de discrimination ou d'exclusion et garde intact le désir de rencontres et de scène. MA VALISE affiche ainsi plus de 700 concerts à son actif en France, Allemagne (plus de 160 concerts), Pays-Bas, Maroc, Algérie, Bosnie, Suisse, Royaume-Uni et une tournée de 9 concerts en Chine. En mars 2012, ils vont au Mali pour un stage de 2 semaines à Bamako
