Cresciuto in un paese dell’area di Milano, Mattia “MattManent” Colombo comincia ad appassionarsi all’Hip-Hop verso la metà degli anni ‘90, grazie ai maggiori artisti italiani e statunitensi della “Golden Age”. Non ancora quindicenne mette le prime rime su carta e in seguito comincia a presenziare a jam e serate, allacciando proprio grazie a questo i rapporti con gli storici soci DB e Mike. Assieme unicamente al primo dà alla luce un disco, il fortunato EP “Dedalo” pubblicato nel 2005, mentre con entrambi si pone alla conduzione di “Streetbeat”, trasmissione radiofonica Hip-Hop ad oggi leader in Italia. Negli anni, Matt si mette in mostra sia sotto il profilo musicale in quanto rapper di sostanza e freestyler di razza, sia come promotore della cultura Hip-Hop, diventando così molto richiesto anche in veste di giornalista e reporter per le più importanti realtà mass-mediatiche italiane del settore. Nel mese di marzo 2008 esce l’album “Palestra di vita”, un disco che mostra appieno l'attitudine a 360 gradi di Matt e che inoltre vanta le collaborazioni di artisti di spicco della scena italiana e, addirittura, europea. A giugno 2009 esce poi "On the Road - Frammenti di un lungo ritorno", EP in free download tramite www.mattmanent.com che completa il quadro di un'avventura e un progetto artistico più ampio coinvolgente anche scrittura e fotografia, confermando Matt come uno dei personaggi più originali sulla scena attuale.

Grown up in a small town near Milan, Italy, Mattia “MattManent” Colombo started taking interest in Hip-Hop in the mid-90’s thanks to the main Italian and American artists of the period. Earlier than 15 years old, he put his first rhymes on paper and then began to join jam sessions and parties, getting in touch with DB and Mike, his present crew. With DB, he released in 2005 the critically-acclaimed EP “Dedalo”, while with the both of the guys he started hosting “Streetbeat”, which is at present Italy’s best Hip-Hop radio program. During the years, MattManent has put himself in the limelight as a deep lyricist and a top-notch freestyler, and also as a promoter of the Hip-Hop culture, getting greater and greater demand to work as a journalist and reporter for the most important Italian Hip-Hop mass-media. In March 2008 his new album “Palestra di vita” (“Preparation for Life") has been released, showing his 360-degrees attitude and featuirng important Italian and even European acts. In the month of June 2009 a new release comes to light: "On the Road - Frammenti di un lungo ritorno", a free-download EP available via www.mattmanent.com which is the music completion of a wider project branching out to writing and photography as well, and that confirms Matt as one of the most original heads on the scene right now.
