Native Houstonian with stints in Austin, New York City, Chicago and Nashville, songwriter/ producer / multi-instrumentalist Matt Hammon operates under the moniker of Olivette Music. His work reflects 15 years experience as an independent artist, songwriter/producer, and sideman in the studio and on the road.

As a dynamic artist and performer in his own right, Matt Hammon has shared the stage with Bob Mould, Ben Folds, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, David Rice, David Garza, Martha Wainright, Tess Wiley, Dayna Kurtz, Cameron Dezen, Arthur Yoria, Tody Castillo, and many others throughout the United States, Canada, and Western Europe.

Also an in-demand drummer, Matt toured America in a great rock and roll band called The Damnwellsthroughout May and June 0f 2007. In the late 90's, Matt travelled around the world performing behind the kit with guitarist/songwriter Bob Mould, the force behind the highly influential bands Husker Du and Sugar. Hammon's drumming is featured on 1998's "The Last Dog and Pony Show" (Rykodisc), 2002's "LiveDog98 - The Forum, London UK", and on a handful of tracks on 2005's "Body Of Song"(Yep Roc).

In addition to having been a founding member of Mineral and The Gloria Record, Matt has toured with Chicago's Verbow (Epic Records), Dallas' Cary Pierce (Aware Records/Jack O'Pierce), David Rice (Columbia Records), Tess Wiley (Sixpence None the Richer), Paige Lewis (Word/Warner Bros.), and David Garza (Wide Open Records).

In 2000, Matt Hammon launched onto the indie record production scene with projects from the Damnwells' front man Alex Dezen, Texas' favorite young songsmith Mando Saenz, and NYC-to-TX electro-folk singer/songwriter Cameron Dezen, whom he married in November, 2002. Since then, over 30 indie and major label releases have had Hammon's signature production and musicianship in tow. Matt is currently working on a long-overdue solo album and producing songwriters in Houston.
