MARK WHEAWILL

VITALITY aka MARK WHEAWILL, is a Record Producer and DJ hailing from Manchester in the UK. Mark is also Head Of Music at Uplifted Music Management and is the founder of the M.U.A (Musicians United Alliance).
Mark started singing at the age of 10 and then learnt to play the guitar and was in a grunge band called Pop Love Haze during his school days. He also learnt to play the piano and has been writing music since he was about 11. In the past, Mark has produced various dance records under different pseudonyms (Evenflow & Bravemusic with Gary Morris), Source Of Gravity and Outlanders (with Chris Sterio), 4th Orbit (with Chris Sterio, Sean McClellan & Gordon Carpenter), TSYT and of course Vitality.
His music has been released on a number of record labels during the last decade and has sold thousands of copies worldwide. Mark was approached once by a guy to write the music for the Big Brother TV program on Channel 4 and has had over 30 dance music tracks (mainly progressive house and trance) released on numerous labels. 31 releases on 12" vinyl, appearing on several CD compilations around the world and now his music is available in mp3 format on all the major download stores including Uplifted Music.
Mark's had records released on a number of record labels in the past such as Baroque, Method (same label as rising star Andy Moor), Source Of Gravity, Gravitation, Pied Piper, Mechanism, Dorigen and Three. He's had tune of the month in IDJ magazine with a previous Vitality release called "Skylite" which was played on Manchester's Key 103 FM and is also included on the 2nd Vitality album. The track also received huge support from DJ's Armin Van Buuren (on his State Of Trance radio show), Sasha and Paul Oakenfold when it was originally released on Method Records back in 2002.
Aswell as working with Tilt on a remix project, Mark's records have been supported by big name DJ's such as Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Armin Van Buuren, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Sander Kleinenberg, Nick Warren, Lee Burridge, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo and Parks and Wilson, to name but a few! Mark's also DJ'd on Manchester's Key103 FM back in January 2003 to over 15,000 listeners and at clubs in the UK such as 2 kinky and abroad in Lisbon, Portugal and America. He has also DJ'd at many house parties.
His new Vitality album "Vitality II" being released on UPLIFTED MUSIC features 12 tracks that were written around the time of the recording of the first album "Vitality" and after it in the 6 years since the CD release as a limited run of a 1000 copies. Tracks include: Ready For Anything, Blinded By The Sun, Oxygen, Fallen Angel, Don't Panic, Transition, Skylite, Smokescreen, Take The Power Back, Perseverance, Love Story and Party's Just Started.



Blinded By The Sun was the B-Side to the Vitality "Chemistry" release on TSYT Recordings Ltd, Fallen Angel was written back in 2000, Transition was originally released as Mark Wheawill "Transition" on Baroque Records in 2003, Skylite on Method Records in 2002 and Perseverance in 2003 on Pied Piper as Source Of Gravity with Chris Sterio penning the lyrics. Mark will be back in the studio working on a 3rd Vitality album soon!
Mark's also produced and engineered tracks using Cubase, Cubase SX, Nuendo and Pro Tools and has programmed sounds on a range of hardware (Waldorf Micro Q, Waldorf Microwave XT, Korg Trinity, Korg Prophecy, Novation Laptop, Novation Supernova, Korg MS2000) and software synths for his onlinesoundproduction business a few years back!
