Markus Fagervall

Markus Fagervall was born in the Northern part of Sweden

in a small town called Kiruna more known

as the hometown of the world famous “Ice Hotel”.

Later, his family moved to an even smaller

place named Övertorneå next to the boarder

to Finland.



He was a big fan of Ice Hockey, spending almost

any free time he had on the ice and became

a big star in his team and also for the region of

Norrland (The northern part of Sweden).

He actually played in a big tournament for the youth

in Sweden named Tv-Pucken. (Basically

TV-Puck) where great names as Peter Forsberg,

Mats Sundin and Börje Salming all played

in when they where young and promising.



After a while, growing up to become a young man, as many

Others, he found out that music and girls where

more fun than sports. So he traded his Hockey

gear for an old guitar and started to practice.



Soon afterwards, he started his first band called “Liquid

Scarlet”. They toured around Sweden and parts of

Europe but didn’t really get the breakthrough they

wanted.

One late night in Stockholm, as a bet to a friend, Markus decided to

wake up early and go to the Swedish idol auditions. The rest is

history. He was a smash on the show, loved by audiences of all ages.

On his “Idol Winner tour” he had more than 120

shows in 8 months and played on the biggest stages in Sweden.

After an intense fall of 2006, followed by winter,

spring and summer of 2007, he took some time

off and wrote new songs and got back the creative musical inspiration.



“If You Don't Mean It” is written by Carl Falk,

Dirdrik Thott and Chris Braide and is at the

moment number 5 on iTunes and 16 on the

Swedish single chart.



The album is scheduled to be released October 15Th- 2008 and is

produced by Patrik Berger (Robyn, Hilary Duff,

Michael Bolton)

Markus is one of the stars in the show “Stars

on Ice” that air’s for the first time in Sweden,

Saturday October the 4th 2008

He is also booked in several big TV shows in

the upcoming months.
