First there was “Heaven Sent Instrument”, then “Purpose Driven Hip-Hop”…now “M.I.A.”… This is the second solo album from Melbourne bred Singer/Songwriter/MC/Producer/Worship Leader MarKia. Being almost one year in the making, this album defines MarKia’s heart, life and ministry. It is a deep, personal journey through life lessons, testimonies and the ultimate search for his destiny in Christ. Musically M.I.A is a blend of upbeat praise, gritty gospel hip-hop and soulful worship, breaking down the negative themes that surround the urban music genre. The album features the already popular “Tell Me What It Iz”, “Get Lifted” and “That’s What I Need”, with guest appearances from Tino, RY, Lozza, El-Shaddai Crew and 2-11.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the driving force behind everything that MarKia does. Whether it is producing, writing or freestyling; everything is done for His Glory. Reestablished in 2005, MarKia’s label Five One Entertainment stands as the only Gospel Hip-Hop record label in Australia. The label stands on discipleship principles that the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:11 “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers”. Currently Five One Entertainment is the home of local artists Lozza, RY and Tino. Every release from Five One has gone beyond the 400+ mark in sales in Melbourne alone; MarKia’s debut album “Heaven Sent Instrument” and “Purpose Driven Hip-Hop: The Mixtape” have been successful with the help of distributors Tiger Music. Five One Entertainment continues to grow in the vision that God has placed in MarKia’s heart.
