Marie

In 1982 a worried mom looked at her 2 year old daughter who sat rocking and singing along to the songs from the radio. She had yet not said a word but she already had perfect pitch and showed an amazing musicality.
Marie is a composer and singer from Copenhagen, Denmark, inspired by names such as Etta James, Gillian Welch, Sheryl Crow, that has found her own and very personal sound.
Lyrics and melodies are created on the dobro or guitar and are catchy, easy listening yet deep and original. Maries voice is light and soft and creates a strong trademark for her as an artist.
Marie is an undisputable musical talent that has only shown the tip of what she has to offer.
Marie is playing with her band Lilyphone who are always by her side. A great band consisting of three amazing musicians.Thomas Steen Hansen: cajon & choir, Henrik Steen: bass & choir and Jakob Thomhav: guitar,choir and dobro. They have been touring a lot in Nashville and the debut album "Lilyphone" is ready for release. Rogers Masson has produced the record and he did the maintracking in Denmark with the band. A few special guests from Nashville has played on the album as well. The masterings and the final mix was done in Nashville and Lilyphone has just returned to Denmark with the tapes.
