I earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Special Education Concentration at the Crane School of Music at the State University of New Yorks Potsdam College. I also completed my Master of Arts at Long Island Universitys C. W. Post Campus in Music History and Literature with an emphasis in Piccolo and Flute Performance.

I have been seen in numerous performing ensembles playing flute and piccolo. I have held the principal piccolo and principal flute chairs in various orchestras and symphonic bands. I have had the distinct honor of playing as a piccolo soloist several times where my performances of Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in C Major No. 4 was most noticed. I have also had the chance to play as a flute soloist. I have performed in several groups ranging from the small chamber groups, to local community bands and orchestras, to playing in professional and semiprofessional bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles. I have appeared on such renowned stages as Sara M. Snell, Helen M. Hosmer, Tilles Center, and Carnegie Hall. I have performed solo recitals as well as participated in orchestral auditions, masterclasses, competitions, and chamber ensembles (such as the flute and oboe duet known as The Merianna Duo and the flute and guitar duo called Flautarra). Nowadays, I am a freelance flute and piccolo player and I perform as often as possible.

In my new home, I have had the chance to perform at several Classical Music Festivals at both the Blue Frog Coffeehouse and the Courthouse Park. I also have held a recital at the Center for the Arts in Homer, NY. At SUNY Cortland's campus, I have performed at the Jacobus Lounge and the Dowd Fine Arts Theater. I have also performed for several types of events in the area playing at art exhibits, senior centers, J. M. Murray Center, Access to Independence, and the Cortland County Courthouse, as well as various others. I am currently the Director of the Cortland Area Flute Ensemble. I am a member of the Cortland College-Community Orchestra, The Old-timers Band, Trillium Trio, and I perform Celtic Folk Flutes in a chamber group that performs at the Blue Frog every spring and most summers. I have also been seen as a flutist with Colleen Kattau and will occasional jam at Tuesday Night Jam night at Lucky's in Cortland, NY.

I presently have openings in my private lessons studio. Do you have an interest in studying the flute, piccolo or even recorders? If you are from Cortland, Homer, or any surrounding areas in Central New York and you are interested in taking lessons please e-mail me for more information.

If you are planning an event that requires my specialties in music, please e-mail me. I have performed for sidewalk sales, corporate events, fund-raising events, specialty celebrations (such as weddings), and other types of concerts with orchestras, symphonic bands and various chamber ensembles ranging in size and instrumentation. Let me help you find the perfect fit for you event's needs.

Please, check out my blog for frequently asked questions of me (from advice on college to what I'm playing above and what instruments I own). I started this after receiving several emails asking for similar advice or questions. Since I'm not always available, I felt that I would start my blog as a frequently asked questions area. I hope that it can help you and that you can find the answer to a question you might have. If not, please contact me and maybe I can put your question up there as well.

Please don't try to "own me" as a "pet"! I'm not a dog or other domesticated animal that needs to be cared for in such a manner. I'm not a toy and I find this very annoying and to me it hints back to slavery and it is very offensive to me. I'm not here to play these childish games. Those that do this will be defriended.
