Mariachi Sol de Mexico

was formed by Jose Hernandez, musical director of Las Vegas International Mariachi and the annual Viva El Mariachi Festival. The group was influenced by Mariachi Chapala, assembled in Los Angeles, CA, in the late '50s, and Mariachi los Galleros, which was formed by six musicians, including Hernandez' father Esteban Gonzalez. Mariachi Sol de Mexico has become one the most outstanding performing groups in the U.S. They continue to surpass the standards of traditional Mariachi Music by making each arrangement Jose Hernandez creates, their own. The have been acknowledged for their Jazzy renditions and complex arrangements and still obtain the high quality of Mariachi Music in the world. Mariachi Sol de Mexico have played along side the best of the best Mariachi's in the world including, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, Mariachi Cobre, Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano and The Best Female Mariachi in the world, Reyna de Los Angeles, in which Jose Hernandez created. They also have performed along with Selena, Willie Nelson, and the Beach Boys, among other artists, and participate in soundtracks for films such as The Old Gringo and Don Juan de Marco.



Mariachi Sol de Mexico is more than just a group of musicians, these gentlemen are a group of performers! When Sol de Mexico step onto stage, everyone in his/her seat is up and ready to hear the Best Mariachi in the United States.
