The Biography of Margarita Shamrakov, Prodigy, Pianist, Singer, Songwriter:
Margarita fuses her Ukrainian past with New York adulation to beautiful tunes that tantalize and seduce our senses. Margarita, a child prodigy, at five years old, first began nurturing her exceptional talent at Classical Music School in Dnepropetrovsk, Russia. At ten years old, she then went on to be accepted at the prestigious Music School Lisenka for gifted children, mastering classical piano.
At sixteen, Margarita and her Mother immigrated to New York partially due to poverty and other unfortunate circumstances. Without a place to live and without speaking any English she bravely entered a new world holding onto the American dream as her ambition. Battling poverty she began work immediately at a local department store in Brooklyn earning minimum wage.
Margarita championed towards success winning a host of awards such as the 1st place winner of the The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, sponsored by Yoko Ono and BMI for BEST SONG. Margarita has been seen alongside musical icons such as Yoko Ono and legendary Producer Arif Mardin. The beauty of Margarita's voice, pulsating beats and classical piano create heart beating dance tracks breaking the new frontier in American Music in her CD' TRAGEDY, produced by Multi - Platinum Engineer and Producer Mike Anzel. She is also a proud member of Montel Williams Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, and her songs were featured on their 2006 yearly compilation.
