Ok, so I love music; I can't deny it. I play the bass guitar and I love every dang minute of it. I started playing 6 years ago on my 22nd birthday and it has changed my life forever. I am a child of the percussive art so I am extremely influenced by Les Claypool and Victor Wooten. However, as of late, I have been getting into a lot of different music and am beginning to pull roots from some greats such as Billy Martin, Mino Cinelu, of course Jaco himself, Michael Manring, and a slew of others.

As for the past, I was in a band for three years and it was a great time, but since then I have moved on and been doing solo work for the last two years. As of late, I have been performing in a 7 piece funk project called Taboo Love, which has been a good time. I am currently working on my sophmore solo effort which hopefully will be out in the spring.

Ok, so I guess I should say more about me. Let's see, well, I just turned 27, I went to Red Bank Regional High School, got accepted at Yale University, went there, left there, went to Rutgers, did track and field, was a big east champion, graduated, got a job teaching in Kenilworth, helped start a band, made an album, got good at slappin the old thump stick, took a trip to Sandwich Illinois, ate a sandwich, quit my job, quit the band, put out a cd and started a new job as a sales consultant for a high end custom home theater company. As of late, most of my time has been working, sleeping, and playin music . So, all I got are me, my love, my family, my friends, and my bass. What more could anyone ask for.

So, I put an album out in March of '06 and it went over pretty well. Just to give you the low down on the album, it is entitled, "Four Years Later.A Week In The Mind Of Marc Wallace". The title is such because the album was somewhat of a chance for me to display where my head was at after four years of playing. In addition, I stuck to my original idea, and all of the songs were written day by day, over the course of one week.except for Paganini and The Beckoning, although they were rerecorded, but they were kept by popular demand. The album is fairly eclectic, because I kind of just spouted out what was in my head at that time. There are still about a 100 copies of the disc left, if anyone is interested. I have currently been in the works of writing new material and trying to come into my own style if you will. This time around I would like to record with live musicians and try to take my time and structure the songs the way I would like to. So, needless to say, stay tuned for the sophomore effort. The new material definetly has a lot more rhythm to it while still retaining some of my original flavor.
