On August 20Th, 1984 In San Salvador, El Salvador Carlos M. later on to be known as "MARC MENAZA" was Born. Brought up in the streets of poverty in a third world country His parents Struggled to give their family a better Life. At the age of Two Menaza and his family finally ended up in Jamaica, Queens New York Where there, He started a new Life. Growing up as a kid In a completely different environment Menaza started to soak in all sorts of things, From music to different types of cultures. As he grew up Menaza started to explore his surroundings, hangin out at the local Bodega's where he would listen to Old school salsa and merengue Blair out the broken stereo box behind the counter. After school he would head out to the park and listen to the sounds of beat boxing as the composer would create these unique melodies. While the show kept on going it would get more interesting as older cats would jump in and flow with such ease and create "LIVE MUSIC".
Through out middle school Menaza soon found a love for music and joined the chorus and band where there he played the Trumpet. It wasn't later on until high school where Menaza found the art of writing to be an important tool as music was; in a artistic point of view. As time passed so did his experiences. Growing up in New York completely changed Menaza's mind set. As he went through the complications of Relationships, Violence, Drugs, And just everyday Family issue's at home, He soon Began to write his life through paper. Hip Hop being his real first Love Menaza decided on following his heart and started to study his icons such as, Big Pun, Nas, LL cool J, Method Man, and the regular street rappers who would get high and sypha the new era of music through his block. As the trend of music evolved.so did Menaza's style, went from a "Barrio" rapper to a lyrical Emcee. Now as a very diverse writer Menaza composes songs from Rap to R&B to Reggaeton. Getting up into the industry is not that easy; But I'll tell you one thing, with the versatility and ambitious hunger that an artist like MARC MENAZA has, lets just say the kid definitely has a shot. All around artist, an experimentalist, and the drive to succeed will put Menaza on the map.
