Elle sait aussi choisir les bons partenaires : Alain Jean-Marie, Gilles Naturel et John Betsch constituent la section rythmique dont rêvent toutes les chanteuses. "As years go by, Manu Le Prince stands out today as one of the most important voices of latin jazz in France. A singer known for her warm and sensuous vocal timbre, she is also an accomplished lyric writer and composer, so adding to her interpretations of standard jazz songs a very personal touch, giving them a new dimension. Anglo-Argentinian by birth and brazilian by heart, Manu has been living between France and Brazil during the latest twenty years.
Mixing intimately the Jazz music that rocked her childhood, with Bossa Nova and popular brazilian music (MPB), so following a path to success that started with her performances with Christian Vander's mythical french jazz band Magma, until more recently, through her collaboration with renowned brazilian performers such as trombonist Raul de Souza, Robertinho Silva, Rosinha de Valença, or even more outstandingly with musician extraordinaire Hermeto Pascoal, who wrote the following liner note on one of her latest albums MADRUGADA :
“Ela pensa, ela sente, ela canta maravihosamente bem " (she thinks, she feels. she sings marvelously well)"
She tours around the world with different musicians & bands, starting during the eighties with musicians such as Bernard Maury, Francis Lockwood or Danilo Perez on piano , Carlos Werneck (bass & guitar), Tatau Caetano ,
or L. Augusto Cavani on drums, Raul de souza (trombone), and more recently Alain Jean Marie on piano, Gilles Naturel (bass), Fred Sicart & ohn Betsch on drums , Cacau de Queiroz, Xavier Richardeau (baryton) or Stéphane Belmondo (bugle), Raul Mascarenhas (flute & sax) .
