Not Sara Mann.
In an entertainment world built on sex appeal first, and a pleasant - if unremarkable - voice second, truly standing out in the crowd and separating oneself from today’s rather large pack of posers can be difficult.
Not for Sara Mann.
We now live in the era of American Idol, and all the drivel, banality and pretension that comes with it. By and large, today’s pop stars are simply entertainers, not true artists. They are the product of songwriters, producers, stylists, PR specialists, and marketers. In short, it’s all style, no substance.
And then we have Sara Mann.
Singer/songwriter Sara Mann is the exception to what has generally become the rule. Sara has all the requisite beauty, charisma and charm, but what separates Sara from the pack is her knack for songwriting. Sara is a truly gifted composer who isn’t reliant on others for material. Drawing on a wealth of personal experiences for inspiration, Sara also possesses the chops on both piano and guitar to flesh out her compositions and craft them into a unique sound all her own.
Growing up in Los Angeles, Sara began playing piano by ear at the tender age of five, and her earliest compositions soon followed. As she advanced through her teens and matured into adulthood, her ear and song-craft naturally progressed, as did the wealth of experiences - from love to loss - that became the basis of her inspiration.
But what really brings Sara’s beautiful and heartfelt songs to life are her dynamic and expressive vocals. Sara’s voice is a true instrument of power, range, emotion, and perfect pitch. Her warm, soulful sound is evocative, sensual, and engaging. When Sara croons, it’s as if she’s singing to you specifically, and you feel her joy, her pain, her hope, and her fragility.

Her wealth of musical experiences also includes a turn on Broadway in the musical version of Saturday Night Fever, and a recurring role on NBCs hit drama “American Dreams” as a guitar-playing folk singer.
A number of Sara’s original songs have been lent to several TV and film projects, including MTV’s Real World Las Vegas and the award winning independent feature film The Utopian Society.
And Sara recently finished recording a full-length studio album, “The End of You”, produced by Jeff Russo of the Grammy Award-winning band 'Tonic'. Sara played guitar and piano, as well as writing songs on the album.
