Imagine reggae, punk-rock, hip-hop, and latin music wrestling in a burlap sack . . . now imagine a volatile musical marriage between them. The raw energy of punk, the fluid-groove of reggae, the undeniable beats and lyrical syncopation of hip hop, and the infused passion of Afro-Cuban rhythms make up the powerhouse that is MANDORiCO. These boys bring a live performance second to none. The stage show comes complete with non-stop movement, full-band percussion breaks, back flips, and 5-part vocal harmonies backed up by the cohesion and seasoning of a decade of national tours and album releases.
MANDORiCO has participated in a large majority of the nation's most well known musical events and have shared the stage with dozens of international touring artists including the late Tito Puente, The Wailers, Toots and the Maytals, Ben Harper, UB40, and the Foo-Fighters to name a few. Additionally, MANDORiCO has made a number of regional network television appearances as well as having their music featured on a variety of national shows. The latest release and appropriately titled Strong Fire, showcases Mandorico's musical prowess with a dozen burners that will fill any musical appetite. Produced by Mandorico and Pete Thornton (Day of Fire, Paramore, Sullivan, Shine Down, Spacebar, Between the Trees) Strong Fire is stacked top to bottom with radio-friendly rockers, reggae-tinged grooves, and pelting Afro-Cuban pulses which define this musical all-you-can-eat buffet.
MThis six-headed percussive hellion defines the gold standard when it comes to the live setting. For the uninitiated it is a transformative experience, for the addicted it is the fix. After a few years on hiatus and working with other projects this musical monster is poised to unleash itself on the nation once again. Step aside and make room for the relentless energy and unparalleled song writing, don't crowd the lane with the disappointing woes of shoe-gazing concerts. Grab your tickets, limber up, and come prepared for a religious musical experience . . . and welcome back the Dirty Punky Latin Reggae badass, MANDORiCO.
"Mandorico melds dance-inducing musical genres into a party-starting concoction that makes sitting still an iffy proposition."- Atlanta Journal Constitution
"…hot reggae tunes that rear-end Latin tropical beats that sideswipe funky, itchy rock tunes and come around to do it all over again on the next tune. Where else would you find such blends of tropical sounds but from Mandorico?" -Creative Loafing – Charlotte
"One of the East Coast's most popular bands . a fantastic, all-devouring, remorseless percussive monster" - LA Weekly
