MANA KINTORSO

Singer/songwriter Damion Davis, of Larval and Television Again fame, and guitarist/songwriter Brent Shelton, of Fluid Oz. and Essie Ecks fame, finally followed through on a promise to share and conspire on ideas. At the time, Brent was experimenting with different situations and soloing acoustic as Discostrangler back in 2004. Damion was folking it up for anyone and everyone. Damion made a few guest appearances with Discostrangler to solidify their new found polyphony. The two soon created a strong bond collaborating in the garage on a plethora of original music set in the alternative pop/rock genre. Mana Kintorso was born.



2005/06, many duet shows ensued at clubs, bars, houses, businesses, garages and porches featuring a variety of guest musicians, friends and fellow noise makers. A steady following of fans evolved and applauded their heavy harmony driven duel guitar style. It was obvious that the Mana Kintorso intention had blossomed into a reality. Beer and laughs were the constant savior from keeping heads from swelling.too big. MK also released their first single, "pot o' gold".a St. Pat's day tribute which they performed live on radio and aired locally on WXRT in Chicago. It has become a local rock holiday legend and tradition.



2007/08, the Mana Kintorso duet began to expand into a band for acoustic and electric shows, featuring Annessa Ferris on backing vocals and various percussive/melodic contributions, Cory Kuczinski on bass, and Micky Rosenquist and Jesse Carmona both occasionally sitting in on drums. Brent added electric guitar to the mix for MK electric shows.



2009 The "official" Mana Kintorso first 5 song EP released to the general public. Their single "Place in France" was featured on WXRT's Local Anesthetic. Mana Kintorso got to play stage right On The Waterfront.



2010 With the addition of Fantastic Dan on drums, Mana Kintorso has its first fully dedicated line up in the bands history.
