Malos Cantores

Il progetto MalosCantores nasce nel 2004 quando Quilo e Micho P (rapper sardi già attivi da anni ) hanno deciso di ripartire con il raap in sardo dopo la grande esperienza dei Sa razza . Malos si presenta al pubblico dapprima con un EP, nella stessa casa dove duettano con Caparezza ma solo dopo il primo album " Un gran Raap sardo " dato alle stampe nel 2004 Maloscantores diventa un nome importante della scena hip hop isolana. Inizia così una serie di concerti che porta il duo ha tastare i palchi piu' importanti di tutta la Sardegnae e della Penisola italica . fine 2006 esce il secondo lavoro discografico "Musica Sarda" un album ricco di partecipazioni che consacra i Cantores come una delle relatà musicali piu' fertili e combattive; ancora rime sarde ed altri beats carichi di indentità per non tradire la missione numero uno : diffondere sempre di piu' il raap in sardo campidanese [ diffundi sempri de prusu su sardu raap de campidanu ]. Musica Sarda vende in due anni quasi 4000 copie, un risultato di tutto rispetto per i due rapper che autoproducono tutti i loro lavori. Ancora concerti e partecipazioni a numerose rassegne musicali importanti come il premio Maria Carta, Icnos e tante altre manifestazioni nelle piazze dei paesi sardi. Dopo muisca sarda i due rapper decidono di prendersi una meritata vancanza, continuando però a produrre musica e seguire altri gruppi sardi, Quilo come fondatore della Nootempo records e micio P producendo e missando dal suo il suo studio ( su BoX ) krew sarde come Stranos elementos , Randagiu sardu.



Un ringraziamento va a tutte le persone , i ragazzi e le ragazze che ci hanno circondato in questi anni , quelli che continuano a seguirci , le Krew sarde e non che ci hanno dato una mano ed hanno collaborato con noi. ringraziamo tutti nessuno escluso, anche quelli che hanno remato contro perchè ci hanno dato Forza per continuare a fare le nostre rime che saranno dure a morire.

Directly from "Sardinya", (an ancient island still to discover ,that rules in the center of the mediterranean sea) , arives Maloscantores ,a hiphop project born from the veterans "SaRazza" ,hip hop crew that has marked the history of Italian scene .



The two rappers ,Quilo and MiCiO P , through this CD, Malos Cantores continue the mission begun with SaRazza in 1990. Their purpose is to spread sardinian culture through rhymes in their mother tongue that comes from the Latin and Hispanic languages .

The traditional sounds of the island ,have been mixed from a powerfull beat of a hiphop culture that doesn't have anymore borders. Rhymes of daily stories , social problems still unsolved , desperation but also passion and amusing episodes of life. emphasizing therefore ,with cutting irony , the joys and the pains of our life .



Raap reveals also the mysteries of an island often seen like a postcard , a holiday or a gossip subject between the patinated pages of scandalistic newspapers .

Maloscantores are inspired from the tradition of " Campidanesi village square poets " called " Cantadores " that , during the village festivities, told their countrymen their story, improvising oral battles whitout exclusion of rhymes .from all of this , maloscantores resume above all the instructions that these masters still transmit today.

Pride , humility , the strenth of our roots , respect for the adversary even sat in front of a good glass of sardinian wine .

this is the simple world of cantores that armed with microphone , invite you to taste their raap music like a good glass of " fil'e ferru " that heats the body and opens the mind .

A trip trough tears ( lagrimas ), ugly stories ( malas istorias ) , or a good reason to get drunk ( la choppera ) ,they express their freestyle song ( sa cantada ) with great unmistakable Sardinian style (unu grandu Raap) .
