This Brick City living legend is known in several hip-hop circles. Noted as one of the first graffiti artists from New Jersey to exhibit his paintings in New York's Fun Gallery during the eighties and later having work featured in Bill Adler's Eyejammie Art Gallery. From spinning intense beats for the grimy world of Open Mic and Rap Battles, on up to spotlighting his own classic style of music production on recent independent releases, DJ Porno represents an era of hip hop that has been difficult for many to authenticate.

Maliq Griffin got into the hip-hop scene back in the early eighties as a graffiti writer running with other writers in the cold and unpredictable streets of Newark, New Jersey and the dangerously dark subway tunnels of New York City. This art form of expression was his first love and later the grounds on which hed later be introduced to DJing and break beats. After adopting the tag Porn LTD, (a tag created from his best graffiti style letters), with his childhood friend Tame One, Maliq was introduced to Rhino CMZ, a kid from New York who taught Porn the art of searching for breaks, mixing hip-hop music and most importantly - how to chop up beats on a Casio SK200 keyboard. Throughout the following decade DJ Porno (the name he acquired during his late night Brooklyn college AM radio show) progressed and spun at hip-hop parties, open mic events and several other college radio shows. Most notable were his days spinning at The Hyperbolic Lounge via Nightingale's in NYC and Newarks Pipeline Night Club, the place that ushered the early talents of the world famous X-Ecutioners, Fifth Platoon and a young cat from Paterson, NJ who later became Just Blaze. Some of these freestyle sessions in the early nineties included Redman, Artifacts, Lords of the Underground, the Outsidaz and later in the decade freestyle battle titans like the Arsonists, Breeze Evaflowin and C Rayz Walz. After getting hold of an SP1200 in 1996, DJ Porno taught himself how to operate this music sampler and began to program beats on it along with the Akai MPC60, 2000 and ASR X Pro. Soon he was providing standout beats at open sampler production nights and beat battles.

DJ Pornos funky style of loose scratching is featured on Get Paid, the current number one selling single on UndergroundHipHop.com with Tame One and the Dusted Dons. Since his debut in 2000 producing the Tame One independent release, Doin Me, Pornos gimmie the mic so I can spit something style of beats has been showcased on several notable projects - including Tame Ones critically acclaimed first solo full length LP When Rappers Attack, released in 2003 on Eastern Conference Records. Homage to the Bomberz the Porno produced last track on the LP is the new graffiti writers anthem that garnered attention amongst an assortment of underground heat from fellow producers, J-Zone, RJD2, Camu Tao and Mighty Mi to name a few, Recently, he has toured with Boom Skwad Recordings and Top Self Music spinning for Tame One, reintroducing Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, New York, North Carolina, Washington D.C., Virginia, Arizona, California, and for the first time, Hawaii to the Tame One Experience. Some current recordings include "Get A Jar" and "P.P.P. (Same Umbrella)" from the 2005 Tame One lp O.G. Bobby Johnson.
