Currently he is the lead singer of Global Talk with Jesus Florido. Since Global Talk’s formation, Malekeye set out to create a revolution in world music by blending melodic instrumentals with political and socially conscious lyrics. A Tunisian born poet and provocateur, Malekeye’s approach is rooted in a diverse cultural upbringing, melding the influences of Tunisian, Arabic, Italian, French, Latin and American shapes and sounds. Malekeye’s professional career as a musician began 15 years ago, as lead singer of La Secte in Tunisia. With a growing fan base, Malekeye toured and performed in Africa, Europe and the United States. The LA Weekly has featured Malekeye as an artist to watch. Global Talk currently resides in Los Angeles, California; their work has been included in motion picture scores and they continue to perform regularly. Upcoming shows are scheduled for the Key Club, The Mint, Air Conditioned and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
