Mala Reignz

Mala Reignz is best known for her complicated rapping style, punchlines and larger than life presence on and off stage. Her skills landed her on Ali Vegas' Mixtape "Leader of the New School" Hosted by Statik Selektah (also makes an appearance in Vegas' new video "That's Nothin" (prod. by Scott Storch).
Mala's talent was recognized by the legendary Rocksteady Crew and was asked to perform in the female cipher at their 31st year anniversary concert along with the likes of KRS-1, FAT JOE, DJ PREMIER, BAHAMADIA, ICE-T and many more well established artists.
Her debut music video, BX TIL I DIE was picked up by the cable network MUSIC CHOICE which aired nationwide in rotation with some of today's biggest artists e.g. Madonna, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne etc. Mala was one of the first unsigned artists to be featured on the video channel at that time. Word spread quickly and BX TIL I DIE was soon added to the legendary VIDEO MUSIC BOX by Ralph McDaniels himself. She has already been featured on several popular music websites such as www.Allhiphop.com (winner of best original song in the producer beat melee 10), www.Latinrapper.com, www.URB.com/next1000, www.Mixtapekings.com, www.Rapmusic.com and www.Egradioonline.com,
www.Forbesdvd.com, www.VladTV.com, www.2DopeBoys.com and www.Bandwagonmobile.com. Her print features include DTM Magazine, Skope Magazine and E2K Magazine. Always a leader in the Female MC Movement, Mala has also collaborated with other well known female MCs such as Lil Mama, Rece Steele and Byata (winner and 2nd runners up on VH1's Miss Rap Supreme).
Mala Reignz's first mixtape, MISS RAP SUPREME, received acclaim from fans and critics alike. Based off the Vh1 female rapper show, Mala completed the exact same challenges as the contestants, even the elimination rounds. Each song was preceded with samples of MC Serch and YoYo instructing the girls on their next challenge. This is NOT your ordinary mixtape, it is the Mala Reignz rendition of the Miss Rap Supreme Show where she verbally tackles each challenge presented to her.
Following the success of her mixtape, Mala has been consistently performing and appearing on mixtapes both nationally and internationally including a feature on The Pink Carpet Mixtape hosted by DJ VLAD (other notable artists include Mc Lyte, Lady Luck, Jackie-O and OJ The Juiceman). She also featured in the most recent DIGIWAXX All Female Cypher hosted by Mc Lyte which appeared on websites all over the internet receiving thousands of views.
Mala is currently set to drop her first EP titled CALM BEFORE THE STORM on January 29, 2010 exclusively on http://www.bandwagonmobile.com where it will stream in full to all mp3 enabled cellular phones worldwide (and other music websites after that date). Following her EP will be her official album titled THE PERFECT STORM which will be released at a later date.
