True female vocalists are a rare commodity in the music industry nowadays. The cookie-cutter recording formulas implemented by artists nowadays have resulted in a stale sounding R & B and Hip-Hop genre. However, there is ONE entity determined to bring about a positive change: enter Boss Music Group recording artist and singer/songwriter/MC; The Boss Lady Destinee of T.H.C., a/k/a The Hispanic Connection.

This 80’s baby is poised to take over the International music industry with a combination of natural talent, raw skill, impeccable vocal range, and a vast songwriting ability few can claim. Destinee's approach to making music has always come from the heart, along with a deep appreciation of Urban Music and Culture since her early childhood.

The fact that her mother was herself a very young woman when Destinee was born, caused them to have more of a sister relationship than anything else. Her Mother embedded her head with Music; from the Disco of the 70’s to the Freestyle of the early 80’s, as well as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggae, and most importantly, R & B, which would prove to be amongst her greatest inspirations.

Growing up in South Florida for the greater part of her childhood influenced Destinee to appreciate the music of Hip-Hop Culture, including everything from the Bass Sound of 2 Live Crew to Hardcore Rap such as Salt & Pepa, Heavy D., Nas, AZ, Jay-Z, Tupac, and Notorious B.I.G.

She grew fond of her musical inspirations and became engulfed in crafting her own personal poems and songs. She continued listening to singers like Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, and male vocalists like Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Nat King Cole, and Elvis Presley. She eventually gained appreciation for Rock & Roll bands like The Beatles, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones.

Destinee’s vast knowledge and love of music has helped her broaden her horizons creatively. She started off by working for Skywalker Records’ founder Luther “Luke” Campbell, of 2 Live Crew fame in the mid 90’s. She recorded R & B choruses and wrote full songs that would never see the light of day.

Frustrated with her creative environment, she moved on with her career and connected with another South Florida-based indie label, with which she recorded an album entitled, “In Time”. Her persistence led her to host a BET event at the beautiful Atlantis resort in the Bahamas alongside BET’s Big Tigga. She also performed live at the event and received a great reaction from the crowd.

She returned to Miami shortly thereafter and was approached by Miami Hip-Hop Pioneer, U.B., about joining his group, T.H.C., a/k/a The Hispanic Connection. The pair bonded through their music and began working immediately. The pace and consistency that she was recording at was surprisingly inspirational for her and would prove to be the space she felt most comfortable in when creating music.

Working with T.H.C. garnered the Boss Lady Destinee a new audience, as she is now rapping as well as singing all of her own material. She writes, records, performs, and promotes herself as well as her group, T.H.C., with relentless persistence like she’s done everything in her life. “She is truly a blessing and an asset to our organization in every way you can think of”, says U.B., President of her current record label, Boss Music Group.

Since joining forces with the T.H.C. movement, Destinee has performed for capacity-filled audiences across the country and overseas. From Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Bahamas, to Orlando, Los Angeles, New York, and her hometown of Miami, Florida, The Boss Lady Destinee has been blessed to travel around the world and perform for hundreds of thousands of people.

The group’s work ethic has resulted in an impressive amount of media coverage including winning an award from Ft. Lauderdale-based City Link Magazine for “Best Latin Act”. T.H.C. was also featured in XXL Mag’s “Top Players To Watch In Miami”, as well as the MTV “My Block” series mixtape which was distributed nation-wide at all Best Buys, FYE’s, and other retail outlets.

Most recently, Destinee was featured, along with her group, T.H.C., in Metro-Mix, a Broward counterpart to The Miami New Times’, which is distributed along with The Sun Sentinel. She’s also been featured in a full length article in MAXIM en Espanol, which distributes millions of units throughout the world.

Destinee is currently in the studio working on her full length solo album, as well as the 2nd installment to her MAIDEN DADE mixtape series. She’s also collaborating with U.B. on songs for T.H.C.’s forthcoming debut album, which is as yet untitled.

Only God knows what Destinee’s destiny has in store for her, but we are all anticipating it to be something great.
