SNAPPER'S BIOGRAPHY



Originating from the streets of El Monte, California Snapper began his rhyming when he was a teenager. He started with recording on low budget cassette tapes and spitting flows at house parties all over the San Gabriel Valley creating a street buzz, soon after he decided to pursue a rapping career. In the late year of 1996 Snapper got himself in trouble with the law again but this time he violated the terms of his formal probation which he got for prior arrest in the past which now landed him in prison. After getting released in 1999 from Tracy State Prison from serving a 2 year sentence for a concealed weapon. He automatically began his journey to the Latin hip-hop scene which back then was fairly new with artist such as Lil Rob, Mr. Knight owl ,Lil one, Mr. Shadow, Wicked minds, which were the artist carrying the thrown for the genre. With his influences ranging from Hip Hop artist such as Tupac, Ice Cube, Master P and Dr Dre and the whole 1990 era. Snapper and now his arch rival Mr. Capone-e hit their first studio session with O.D.M from the group A Lighter shade of brown. Where he recorded his debut album entitled The Connect, which was released in 2001 instantly, became one of the best selling underground albums. After the success of his debut Snapper decided to end business negotiations with Hipower Entertainment and started his own record label in 2003 entitled Madd Glock Records. Since then he released several titles such as his second solo album entitled The Sequel, And his compilations entitled, Sur walking in your hood, Power structure, The first bullet, and No warning Shots (The Soundtrack), And his latest release in 2008 was the controversial DVD No warning shots which wasn’t release to major retail stores due to the content of the DVD. With all the drama and scrutiny Snapper became one of the most talked about artist in this genre that open doors for more opportunities his fan base soured and his name became more noticeable. After all the dust settled Snapper is making his return to the studio after 5 years of just laying back and watching everything unfold he is now ready to make his return to the game for another classic stand in the Latin hip-hop scene. His unique style and flow provide the main sequence that drives this new album into high gear “The Connect 3” features M C’s and well known Latin hip-hop artist such as Mr. Knight owl and Low profile records elite Royal T, also production and vocals from David Salas, And Big Syke from Tupac’s Thug Life group, and also more to be added before the album gets released in March 2010. Sharing their talent over hard knocking beats bringing back to life the thuggish, ruggish, old skool style that has the streets going crazy with 808 bass kicks and gangster groove sound that gets the party started and the mood flowing for every occasion.
