I'm running my own shit.
My government name is Eric McGowan but most know me as E.Mac. I grew up listening to all kinds of music and have a great appreciation for anything thats good. I began rapping at a young age, I use to listen to my favorite artists and eventually learn there verses and be able to rap them myself with no music. All my peers were amazed at my memory skills and my ability recite what I heard. When I was about 14 me and some of my homeboys were hanging out in the apartment buildings which we resided (in Ann Arbor, Michigan) and just started playing around and freestyling, as we went on we would try to out rap each other, and eventually it started sounding good! Just like someone who plays basketball, even if they are not all that good, if they continue to play their skills will improve, and thats what happened to us. Next thing you know, we would have the everyone in the whole lunch room at school crowding around to see what the commotion was all about, every time someone mentioned rapping they were calling me to battle someone or to let someone hear me who had not done so yet. Soon after that I moved back to the dirty south, Lincoln, Alabama. When I first moved back down here I didn't know anybody or really didn't care to, I wanted to go back to what I was use to. So that whole summer, bored and lonely I would continuously write my raps down, this is the first time I really wrote things down and actually constructed whole songs. When school started, I wasn't very outgoing but someone found that I could rap, and the next thing you know, I was battling folks left and right. In the auditorium, in the lunch room, in class, at football games, at pep rallies, at home, in the streets, where ever. In that time span I never really took a loss, my first loss came after I stopped rapping for a while because it got boring to me, it was old, everyone sounded the same to me. The person who beat me caught me off guard and taught me a valuable lesson: If you are the best at something, then there is always someone trying to prove you wrong, always someone trying to take your top spot. I learned that if you gone do something do it right, don't half step. But I will say this, if any rappers are reading this right now, don't get it fucked up cuz I will eat yo wack ass alive.

Now my production skills just came from listening to beats throughout the years and paying attention to what was going on within the song. That and the lack of having access to any beats to use, I began making my own and eventually got pretty good at it (or so I've been told).

I do this as a pass time, I don't even have to try half of the time, it's just a habit of mine, or should I say a passion acquired. I can say DON'T RHYME and it's GON' RHYME. See what I mean? Not the Black Album but the Mac Album, not New Joc City but New Mac City, not Trap or Die but Mac or Die, not Trap Muzik but Mac Muzik, not Trapaholic but Macaholic, not Trapathon but Macathon, not TI vs. TIP but EMac vs. M.A.C., not Curtis but Eric, not Get Rich or Die Trying but Get Rich and Fuck Dying, yall get the picture. Whatever it's gon be called is gon' be fie, so be on the look out. Mac of All Trades.
