Maybe you dig the Rockin Scene. Maybe you know the Rockin Scene. Maybe you have lived the Rockin Scene. There are a lot of great bands playing great "vintage" or "retro" music these days. And they help keep the spirit of that great music alive. There is all of those acts.and then there is Lynette Morgan. She, and her ever evolving groups- over the last 15+ years, have helped build and support the Rockin Scene- and continue to spread the good gospel of Americana Music here in the UK and abroad. She does this by keeping it real. By living in the music. By Making real music, full of heart, soul and genuine musicianship- She and her band keep the look, sound and feel of the late 40s 50's and early 60's living and real- in a way that most bands can only hope to copy.

Lynette Morgan and the Black Water Valley Boys are a slick looking, smooth sounding treasure trove of how the great artists of the 50's would have it. With Long time mates Gary Boller on Doghouse Bass, and Willy Briggs on Soft Saddle Guitar, Lynette ensures that her vintage voltage charged voice is safe and warm in an electric blanket of vintage sound. Lynette herself, a tall, dark curvy hot under the hood hotrod of talent and style- leads the band into battle with courage, commitment and charisma. To see and hear her is to love her, and like a grainy black and white photo of a soft smiling pin up girl, she wins an audiences heart with just her presence. Lynette is the cornerstone of the sound, look and feel of the band, and known in the Scene as one of the few domination fem fatal troubadours of this music.

The latest lineup to her constantly evolving sound adds long time UK muso cowboy Rusty Steel on whirling, swirling lap steep, vocals and arrangements, and Over Here Now American Rev. Bradford C. Gross on Vintage skins, BVs and motivational promo. This new Record was recorded at home, with vintage mics, after long rehearsals. The old fashioned way, with hard work and determination. With dance floor hits like "Lovers Curse" and "Don't Go Pretty Baby- Don't Go", Lynette and her band fire a cupids arrow into the heart of classic music, recorded and performed with intensity, passion and grit. Put it on, and turn it up.

The defining members of the band is the power trio of Lynette, Gary and Willy. Formerly known as the Tennessee Rhythm Riders, this group covered some real ground in this genre of music- long before it was kitch to do so. As well as consistent quality gigs around the UK and Europe- the TRR wowed em year after year at all the major festivals, including The Rockabilly Rave, Hemsby, The Rhythm Riot, and the Screaming Weekend. Two US/EU tours, a few videos on MTV/VH1, Viva Las Vegas, and were nominated for a British Country Music Award. The TTR's "Step it Up and Go" 10inch vinyl was re-released as a CD with additional tracks. As well as "Headin West" and "Little Red Wagon", still rare gems on the Rockin Scene.

The secret to their success is also the secret to their sound . Aside from performing a handful of classic crowd pleasers and floor fillers- Willy pens almost all the tunes for the band. The original sound and feel of these songs, as well as the recording technique and classic vintage feel of the musicians, gives this music a timeless, real time recorded honesty you don't find with cover groups of the same genre. You can hear these tracks on Lynettes latest two EPs "Road Signs and Middle Lines" and "Insomnia Blues"- internationally recognized by fans and musicians alike as quality classic. To make it sound that good, you have to live it, and folks who love this kind of music it know that- and appreciate it. This version of the band has performed everywhere from the Rave, Sennigalia Itally, Hi Rockabilly and tours to Holland, France, Sweden, Austria, and Germany- the later including the Kotz Hillbilly Fest. The band also performed for muso Mark Lamaar on his Radio Two show, a great recognition for such music.

Lynette Morgan and the Black Water Valley Boys are the group one would hope all the bands that play Western, Rockin and Swing music would be like. Sadly- there can be only a few. Because, to know this music is to live this music. Lynettes band pays homage to the music- and the fans of this music, with integrity. Time Honoured Integrity. We hope that you enjoy listening to this music as much as we enjoy making it for you. And Thanks for listening.
