Lydia's approach here is neither hard rockin' nor pure poppin'; there's a superb juggling of sensual and gutsy vocals that works extremely well. 'Gloria Can't Dance' has a power pop/ballad feel - big soaring arrangements set against impressive emo voices that compliment each other superbly. Instrumentally these babes sit tightly in a balanced groove that supports the vocals with solidity.
