LUV INJECTION STORY

We started with 5 members. The first dance we played was a house party on 24th July 1986 with a sound called Rockers Roadshow. Four members of the sound originally came from a sound called Master Blaster who are Corporal Billy, King Zukie, Colin Little and Beaver millant. Winston had a sound called Meshach (Very heavy sound). Our dad (Winston and Zukie) always use to cuss me & Winston, he used to say 'why the two of us as brothers had two separate sounds and always said that why don't we join them together and have one sound' so we did just that.!!

The way the name Luv Injection came about was when we had a meeting, and all five of us had different names to call the sound. So we wrote down the entire different names on pieces of paper and Billy's daughter (Shimarla) picked the name Luv Injection from out a hat. By the way the name Luv Injection was chosen by Billy, he heard the name on a Stereograph cassette. Luv Injection is an all-around sound, The founder members are King Zukie, Winston Mexican, Corporal Billy, Colin Little, Tin Tin, GT, Pack jam, Tyrone Melody DJ Mexy and Big King.

Members who have now left, but has helped us along the way. These are as follows :- Big John, Beaver Militant, Pa Pa Desi, Cheshire Cat, Countryman, Hedgehog Bantan, Benji Black, Junior Ranks, Yardie K, Marky G, Mignott 1, 2 and 3 and forgetting Ringo General. The main thing about Luv Injection is enjoying ourselves when we are playing out, so when the time comes when we do not enjoy ourselves we know its time to hand it over to the youths (Tyrone Melody and DJ Mexy).
