LUCERA

Cali, COLOMBIA ( South America ) October 1992.LUCERA was formed. The first line-up was "Buziraco" (guitars), Julian Polanco (drums) and "Solrac Doom" (Vocals). Polanco left the band and he was replaced by session drummers .At the same time "Buziraco" and "Solrac Doom" start rehearsing their own material. First two written songs were By the Curse Of The Demiurge and The Battle Of The Immortal Heroes.
In 1994 Demolt joined the band to play the drums. Later, after fighting in Colombia's civil war against the revolutionaries FARC and EPL, "Ophicvs" joined the band . Also in that year LUCERA recorded a rehearsal tape distributed among a selected circle of friends, The quality of the sound was low due to the fact it was recorded with amature equipment.
In August 1996 LUCERA took part in the first black metal festival wich took place in Cali - Colombia, with bands like Apolions Genocide (rip), Mephiztophel, and our brothers in metal Utuk Xul, early known as Dies Irae.
LUCERA kept playing until 1998, when the band decided to take a break and some of the members help out other bands. In 2005 the band reunited with the original vocal/lyricmind "Solracdoom"and recorded our first promo after almost 8 years of absence. Later, LUCERA attempted to reunite with the original drummer "Delmot", but for personal reasons Solracdoom and Delmot couldn't continue with the band.
2006 LUCERA have a new vocal , John Mejia Unholy War ( The Glorious Death's frontman). In 2009 The mighty drummer "Red neck machete" join Lucera and made his debut in the "Blackzuco" CD out in jan 2011. the band is striking back with all its power creating an Opus of death and destruction !!! of pure oldschool blackmetal.

Cali, COLOMBIA , en Octubre 1992.LUCERA nace. La primera alineacion fue "Buziraco" (guitarras), Julian Polanco (bateria) and "Solrac Doom" (Vocales). Polanco deja la banda y se remplaza por bateristas invitados .Durante ese tiempo "Buziraco" y "Solrac Doom" comienzan a componer el primer demo. Los dos primeros temas fueron: By the Curse Of The Demiurge and The Battle Of The Immortal Heroes.
En 1994 Demolt entra a la banda. Seguido de Demolt y despues de luchar contra los terroristas de las FARC Y EPL , "Ophicvs" entra a la banda. Durante ese tiempo Lucera graba un demo casette distribuido entre un selecto grupo de amigos, el sonido fue de muy Baja calidad debido al equipo usado y siguiendo con los estandares del black metal crudo. En Augusto de 1996 LUCERA toma parte en el primer festival de black metal realizado en Cali- Colombia, junto a bandas como Apolions Genocide (rip), Mephiztophel, y nuestros hermanos del metal Utuk Xul, conocidos como Dies Irae.
LUCERA se mantuvo tocando hasta 1998 . En el 2005 la banda se reune y graba su primer EP despues de 8 anos de ausencia pero Demolt y Solracdoom tiene que dejar la banda debido a que Lucera se radica en USA.
En el 2006 LUCERA consigue como vocalista a John Mejia "Unholy War" ( Frontman de Millennium Medellin y The Glorious Death's USA). en el 2009 el poderoso "Red neck machete" se integra en la banda en la bateria y hace su debut como baterista en el album "blackzuco" disponible en el sello norte americano old cemetery records .Una vez mas Lucera esta Lista para descaragar su Narcotico y Podrido Black metal.
