MUSICAL BACKGROUND, Born Dillon,
South Carolina, LaVon was reared in the Greater Washington, D.C.
area. LaVon displayed musical gifts as early as age 4 when he
began to play the piano by ear. As a result, LaVons' early
keyboard and piano skills were largely self-taught. In high
school, LaVon had music and voice lessons at Oxon Hill High School
where he was a lead singer and keyboard player in Malika, a school
band that also featured Maverick recording artist Meshell
NdegeOcello on bass guitar. LaVon has won several talent showcases
as a solo artist and has also been a lead singer and keyboard
player in The Knew Crue, a band that toured in Amsterdam, Holland
and London, England, and INC. Company, a group that performed in
Washington, DC. INC. Company recorded the hit single Go-Go
Redskins during the football teams run to a Super Bowl
victory and the song aired on local radio station WKYS where it
was the areas No. 1 requested song for 4 consecutive weeks. LaVons'
musical talent paved the way for him to perform in several theater
productions including Alice in Wonderland, Porgy & Bess, and Don't
Judge a Book By Its Cover. LaVon, currently is residing in the
Carolinas, possesses a unique combination of global, musical, &
life experiences and is now focused on generating multimedia hit
songs through his skills as a musician, songwriter, vocalist,
producer, and/or recording artist.
