When asked to desribe the band he has poured his heart and soul into the past 4 years, Phil Stockman had this to say, "At least none of us are schizophrenic yet. That would suck.for insurance purposes, you know?" It's hard to get a serious answer from a band like Homeroom, even though as of late they have unleashed songs of a more intense and structured nature. Some fans have even used the word "mature" to describe Homeroom's latest dose of unapologetic rock. While this is a necessary departure from the band's earlier stab at powerpop/nerd rock status, fans seem more engaged and excited than ever.

The other half of Homeroom's trademark duo-vocal attack, Kenneth Gambill, had this to say, "People still spell my name G-A-M-B-L-E wherever we go. That's kind of annoying, but I go with it. Whatever gets you some action, know what I 'm saying?" After this the playful singer/guitarist grabbed his crotch, shouted "Boomba Klack!" pulled his cape across his face and darted backstage. The "action" Kenneth is refering to is of course Silver Strike Bowling, a standup arcade game that keeps the band sane during their east coast tours. This addiction explains the 35-minute "Songs for Quarters" portion of their live show.

A man of few words, bassist Adam Youngblood likes to let his instrument speak for him. "I don't really give a shit what those two (at this time Adam sneered and pointed towards Phil and Kenneth) sing about.or sound like.or feel. I am up there to play bass. You gotta problem with that, come talk to my foot." After this Adam chugged his beer and smashed the mug on a one-legged pregnant waitress's forehead, cackling at the sight of blood. Maybe we should talk to the drummer now.

Terry Walker is the newest member of Homeroom, but his history with the band goes back to his childhood years when Adam and he were neighborhood chums. "Adam used to shit his pants alot. It was pretty funny. I think that's why he's so angry now." Homeroom actually played their first show ever at Terry's old house, a show they played under heavy drug sedation due to Phil's guitar being stolen that same night. Since being abducted by the rowdy group, Terry has brought his aggressive drumming style to the table enabling Homeroom to write the songs they have always wanted to write.

Homeroom has two self-released full lengths, the down-and-dirty "It's Not Me, It's You" and the powerpop opus "The Lovers and The Lonely." They have opened for bands such as Ozma, The Rentals, Everclear, Ben Kweller, My Morning Jacket, MC Paul Barman, Five Eight, Starfish and Coffee and De Novo Dahl. Currently Homeroom is writing and recording. Keep checking this page for details, thanks for listening and TELL YOUR FRIENDS.
