Louis Romégoux

Louis Romegoux is an Anglo-French folk musician born and raised in Sheffield, England but now living in Klagenfurt, Austria.
Drawing on influences from both sides of the channel (from the sounds of southern France to the Welsh valleys and the tenor tradition of his Great Uncle, the late Sir Harry Secombe) as well as a few from across that larger Atlantic pond, Louis sound captures the essence of folk in its raw, free flowing form encompassing ever expanding boundaries, the fluidity and freedom of Louis music keep his live performances fresh and exciting every time.
Louis’ debut E.P. ‘Le Vin De L’Assassin’ is available from Rare and Racy (Devonshire Street) and Toast (Forum Shops) and can also be purchased for a discount price at gigs.

La musique des deux côtés de la Manche a eu une grande influence sur son son, ainsi que la musique folk Americaine. Son style saisit la tradition de la musique folk: libre, naturelle et inconstante. Sur scène il ne cesse jamais d'etre expérimental et passionant.
