BIO
LOUDBLAST est un des groupes pionniers de la scène thrash/death metal en France.
Formé en 1984 à LILLE (France), leurs deux premières demos diffusées via un tape trading acharnéde par la planète permettent au groupe de se faire très vite remarquer dès 1986 avec la sortie du désormais culte split LP "Licensed To Thrash" qu'il partage avec Agressor.
1989, premier album "Sensorial Treatment" et premières parties de Coroner, Watchtower, Sacred Reich, Manowar.
"Disincarnate" (1991), fruit de leur première collaboration avec Scott Burns au Morrisound Studio de Tampa en Floride, mecque du death metal, les propulse sur le devant de la scène européenne, sur laquelle ils partagent les tournées de Death, Cannibal Corpse, ou encore Sepultura. Loudblast s'impose alors comme le leader incontesté de la scène métal en France.
Le quatrième album du groupe "Sublime Dementia" enregistré lui aussi au Morrisound Studio en 1993 voit le début de la collaboration avec le peintre Bolek Budzyn qui signera la majorité des covers du groupe. Cette même année sort le mini LP "Cross the Threshold" produit cette fois-ci par Colin Richardson. Le groupe enchaîne alors les dates avec Carcass et Entombed notamment. Ils sont élus "meilleur groupe live" par Kerrang à l'occasion de leur passage au "Marquee" et ont le privilège d'ouvrir pour Iron Maiden.
Le premier live du groupe "The Time Keeper" sorti en 1995 sera suivi par une longue période de travail et de maquettage dans leur propre studio le LB Lab. "Fragments" d'une orientation musicale plus heavy que ses prédécesseurs voit le jour en 1998 et rentre directement dans les meilleures ventes d'albums en France. Fin 99 le groupe décide de mettre un terme à l'aventure après la sortie de "A Taste of Death" compilation composée des meilleurs titres du groupe et d'inédits.
Loudblast se reforme à l'occasion du concert de soutien au regretté Chuck Schuldiner en 2002 et décide de reprendre du service. Alexandre Colin Tocquaine, guitarist du groupe Agressor rejoint les rangs du groupe qui se remet à composer un nouvel album, "Planet Pandemonium", qui sortira en 2004.
2009/2010 voit la sortie du premier DVD de Loudblast et la réedition de leurs 5 premiers albums où l'on peut retrouver 17 raretés: les maquettes de "Sensorial Treatment" et "Sublime Dementia", les enregistrement des samplers "In The Eyes Of Death" et "Brutal Generation" et des titres composés mais jamais commercialisés.
2010 fera date dans la carrière du groupe qui s'apprête à repartir sur les routes avec son nouveau line-up .

Loudblast is the forefather of the French THRASH /DEATH metal scene.
Formed in Lille, France, its first 2 demos spread via bootleg copies quickly became a huge hit in the underground scene. It opened the doors for its first release in partnership with Agressor which became a cult split LP. “Licensed to Thrash” was released with huge success in 1986.
1989 first album : "Sensorial Treatment" ; followed by important concerts with Coroner, Watchtower, Sacred Reich and Manowar. 1990: the unreleased song Race Against Times (released later on in the best of "A Taste Of Death") was used for a TV commercial for the French oil company Elf (now Total).
"Disincarnate" (1991), was the fruit of its first working collaboration with Scott Burns of Morrisound Studio inTampa, Florida, The mecca of Death Metal. This new album confirmed its status and propulsed it to the frontstage of the European scene, where it shared the stage with Death, Cannibal Corpse and Sepultura, confirming that Loudblast had become the uncontestable leader of the metal scene in France.
The 4th Album "Sublime Dementia" also recorded in Morrisound Studio in 1993 saw the start of the artistic colloboration with the painter Bolek Budzyn who, since then, made the band's artwork for the major part.
In the same year it released a mini album "Cross the Threshold" produced this time in collaboration with Colin Richardson. Racking up tour dates, it also found itself on stage with Carcass and Entombed. Voted “best Live Group” by Kerrang for its performance at the “Marquee” gave it the privilege of opening for Iron Maiden.
The first LIVE album of the group, «The Time Keeper » was released in 1995. Then the band spent long sessions in its own studio LB LAB to preproduce its next album.
In 1998, the release of "Fragments" with a more Heavy orientation placed directly Loudblast in the « Top Album Sales » in France. At the end of 1999, the band decided to put an end to the musical adventure with the release of "A Taste of Death", a compilation of best hits and unheard releases.
Getting back together in 2002, with Alexandre Colin Tocquaine, Agressor's guitarist, Loudblast performed a tribute concert in honour of Chuck Schuldiner. The album «Planet Pandemonium" saw the light in 2004.
2009 - 2010 : Releases of the live DVD and the remastering of the first 5 albums with 17 bonus of unheard, unreleased material like "Sensorial Treatment" and "Sublime Dementia"'s demos, and also the tracks from the compilations "In The Eyes Of Death" and "Brutal Generation".
2010 is the year of LOUDBLAST's comeback.
