Lou Castro is originally from Whittier, Ca. He plays electric and acoustic basses, keyboards, and various percussion instruments. He also sings lead and background vocals.

He has worked with 70's funk pioneers, Mandrill, Arthur Adams, Vivian Campbell, Wayne Newton, Billy Cioffi & The Monte Carlos, Chuck Berry, Don Was, Dennis Herring, Mitchell Froom, Mark Weinberg, Tim Armstrong, Alex Wurman, Carla Olson & The Textones, The Paine Brothers, Jon Butcher, Keiko Matsui, Paul Korda, Maggie Mayall, Rick Latham's "Groove Doctors", John Marx, Doug Aldrich, Mikel Japp, Randy Hansen and Cafe R&B. You can hear him sing in the Steven Weber movie, "Sleep Easy, Hutch Rimes".

On the production side, he was at the helm of Cathy Segal-Garcia's "Secret Life", and Emyna's "Get Me Out Of Here", as well as contributing songs and background vocals. You can also hear him play on recordings by Billy Cioffi & The Monte Carlos("Objects In The Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear" and "American Episodes"), Andy Georges("Time Is A Thief"), Audra Mae's EP, Dave Smallen, "The Break-Up DVD"(Jennifer Aniston-Vince Vaughn), Mandrill Live at Montreux 2002, and "Crazy To Sane" by multi-media artist, Lynette Louise. He is also the co-producer/bassist on "Stomp The Floor", by The Arthur Adams Band that is being released on Delta Groove Records.
