LOT es una banda fusionada de rock, alternativo, progresivo, metal, ambient, experimental e instrumental, el cual su sonido ecléctico describe variaciones inspiradas en la naturaleza, las emociones, actos del ser humano y animal. El lenguaje musical de la banda mexicana rompe los géneros etiquetados en los últimos años. Lot es una metáfora de sonidos y letras. Un viaje atmosferico.

DESPUES DE LA SALIDA DE UN GUITARRISTA VOCALISTA, SE DETUVO EL PROYECTO PARA CAMBIAR DE NOMBRE A “DISKORDIOS” FUNCIONO DURANTE 730 DIAS, DESPUES VINO LA SALIDA DEL 3ER ELEMENTO (GUITARRISTA) POR CAUSAS MAYORES.
DISKORDIOS DECIDE TERMINAR.
¨LOT¨ FUE ORIGINADO EL 1ERO DE NOVIEMBRE 2005 POR BEDZLOT Y CHARLOT (HERMANOS DE SANGRE Y AUTORES DE TODOS LOS TEMAS), DURANTE UN TIEMPO SIN PRESENTACIONES SE TRABAJABAN MAS TEMAS. EN ALGUNOS SHOWS “LOT” SE PRESENTABA CON GUITARRISTAS INVITADOS MIENTRAS SE BUSCABAN LOS MUSICOS IDONEOS PARA SER PARTE DE ESTE PROYECTO.
HACE TIEMPO EN UN CONCURSO DE DEMOS POR PARTE DE CIRCO VOLADOR, “LOT” FUE UNA DE LAS 25 BANDAS GANADORAS ENTRE 300 PARA GRABAR UN DISCO (“LOT” NO ESTABA ENTERADO AUN QUE ERA GANADORA EN LA PRODUCCION DE UN ALBUM). FUE UN RETO Y UNA SORPRESA, YA QUE SOLO FALTABA UN MES PARA ENTRAR AL ESTUDIO. LOS HERMANOS EXPERIMENTARON E IMPROVISARON UN PAR DE TEMAS COMO “LOT”, “MAR” Y “CARREL”. SE HIZO LA INVITACION A AMIGOS MUSICOS PARA QUE PARTICIPARAN EN LA GRABACION, COMO EN PERCUSIONES Y ALGUNAS GUITARRAS.
SE HIZO UNA MEZCLA DE PRUEBA QUE HA SERVIDO COMO EP MIENTRAS EL DISCO SE TERMINA DE MEZCLAR Y MASTERIZAR (PARA SU VENTA EN TIENDAS). ESTA PRUEBA SE REALIZO POR LA OPORTUNIDAD DE LLEVARLO A EUROPA Y SUDAMERICA PARA PODER ENTRAR EN ALGUNOS FESTIVALES, ESTACIONES DE RADIO INDEPENDIENTES Y BUSCAR AUDIENCIA MIENTRAS EL DISCO ES TERMINADO. EL OBJETIVO, LA META ES LLEGAR A TODO PUBLICO QUE INVOLUCRE IDEAS Y PASIONES MUSICALES ALREDEDOR DEL MUNDO, EL PLAN NO ES FACIL PERO TAMPOCO IMPOSIBLE.
DESPUES DE LA SALIDA DE ESTE MATERIAL SE INTEGRARON DOS GRANDES MUSICOS, TOTEM Y MARKOV EN LAS GUITARRAS. ESTOS DOS ELEMENTOS SON LOS DOS INGREDIENTES QUE LOT NECESITABA PARA QUE LA BANDA TUVIERA YA ESE SONIDO DEFINIDO QUE EN LA ACTUALIDAD SIGUE TENIENDO Y QUE YA NO ES LO QUE EL MATERIAL TIENE. POR ESO RECOMENDAMOS QUE VAYAN A VER A LOT EN SU ACTO EN VIVO.
ENGLISH:
The project started more than 10 years ago with the name of “LA DISKORDIA” with 4 elements: drums, bass and two guitars; experimenting with all the member’s tastes, those musical genres that have been made during the rock decade in all eras, arriving to a not so commercial and underground sound.
After the depart of one of the vocalist and guitarist, the project was stopped and was given the name of “DISKORDIOS”, it worked for 730 days, afterwards the third guitarist left the band due to major personal issues.
“DISKORDIOS” decides to end.
“LOT” originated on the 1st of November of 2005 with Bedzlot and Charlot (blood brothers and composers of all songs), in a period without presentations as they were working on more songs. Some shows were performed and guests guitarists were invited, in the mean time suitable guitarists were searched to make part of the project.
A while back, in a contest of demos which was organised by “Circo Volador”, “LOT” was one of the 25 bands selected among 300 to make a record (“LOT” was unaware that they were also winners to have the album produced). It was a challenge and a surprise, because they learnt it just one month before entering into the studio. The brothers experimented and improvised a couple of songs like “Lot”, “Mar” and “Carrel”. Friend musicians were invited to be part of the recording sessions, such as percussionists and guitarists.
An audio mixing was made, which has been presented as an e.p while the record continues to be mixed and remastered. All this was made with the intention of promoting the band in Europe and South America and thinking of the opportunity to play in festivals, be aired in independent radio stations and search for audience while the record is being made. The purpose is to reach all kinds of public that involves ideas and passion around the world, the plan is not too easy but neither is impossible.
“LOT”s musical language breaks genres and labels. It is inspired on emotions, which are the root of humans behaviour. “LOT” is a metaphor of lyrics and sounds.
“Apart from making our music known we also want to make our culture and our language known because Mexico also needs to make a change in rock”.
At the present time, two new guitarists have joined in, they are both powerful: Totem, who is a producer and has other aside projects and Markov de Dragunov. “LOT” has now all the elements and ingredients that was looking for. The aim of live shows is also to experiment and to improvise, regardless of the set list and to create a unique atmosphere combined with audio-visuals (all kind of artistic forms on a stage) as a unique band, especially for Mexican rock.
