Within the evolving garage music scene in México City, came The Mustang 66… The band was formed in late 2002 by Tere Farfisa (organ), who in the mid 90s founded The Ultrasonicas- in that time (punk garage band made up of women), Carlos P. inviting, former bassist of the legendary 90s Mexican garage band Los Sicoticos, Raúl Fuentes surf guitarist Berenice band, and Roberto V. on drums. In 2010 portuguese record label Groovie Records launched Los Mustang 66 first LP with 12 songs in vinyl 12”. Actually formed by early three members: Tere Farfisa (Organ), Erika B. (screaming voice), Roberto V. (drums) with Paulina (Bass) and Zergio (Guitar).

Dentro de la incipiente escena garagera de la Ciudad de México, surgen Los Mustang 66…
La banda fue formada a finales del 2002 por Tere Farfisa (organo) , quien a mediados de los 90s fundo Las Ultrasónicas – banda de garaje punk conformada por mujeres, invitando a Carlos P, ex bajista del legendario grupo garagero Los Sicóticos, a Raúl Fuentes guitarrista del grupo de surf Berenice y a Roberto V. en la bateria. Tras un corto tiempo de ensayos y por inestabilidad de estos, Teresa F , invita a Jonathan A, guitarrista de Los Magníficos a integrarse a la banda, ya mas estabilizado el grupo empiezan a tocar Psycho, Shot Down y The Witch de The Sonics y Hang Up de The Wailers asi como otros covers sesenteros al tiempo que sacaban canciones propias consiguiendo un sonido y estilo propio en la venia del garaje muy diferente a lo que estaba sonando en una escena plagada de grupos de surf y otros estilos musicales de moda que desde mediados de los 90s con la desaparición de Los Sicóticos no existía un grupo garagero. A pesar de dificultades y altibajos la banda se ha mantenido vigente tanto en fans como con tocadas, alternando con bandas locales y extranjeras como The Cynics, The Lords Of Altamont, Gore Gore Girls, The A-Bones, The Ugly Beats, The Vooduo, The Urges, etc. A mediados del 2003 grabaron un demo de 7 canciones donde incluyeron The Witch de The Sonics y I Don’t Need You No More de The Rumblers en Fuzz On! Rcds.
