Helsinki headbangers Los Bastardos Finlandeses return to the fray with their fourth album: "Saved by Rock'n'Roll".
2010 was a bastard year for the Bastardos.
It started well with their debut UK tour in february followed by a triumphant warm up for Lynyrd Skynyrd. then "Motor Rock Meltdown" the single from their previous album received the third highest approval ratings ever from Finlands Radio Rock listeners. Unfortunately 'meltdown' was exactly what the band was about to experience.
In april, band leader, guitarist and songwriter Don Osmo cheated death but suffered a broken neck in an horrific car crash. Fighter that he is, he was miraculously fit to start the summer festival season. However the band was stunned when lead guitarist El Diablo quit on the first date.
Bon Amigo and guitar legend El Gringo aka Ben Granfelt (ex Wishbone Ash, Leningrad Cowboys) agreed to help them fulfill their festival commitments.
For a couple of weeks all was well…. but not for long….bassist El Muerte was suddenly rushed to hospital with a ruptured appendix. with shows coming thick and fast, lead vocalist El Taff picked up the bass and the band played on.
The fact that the band managed to record their new album in the autumn is testament to the chemistry of the new band. It signals a new era for Los Bastardos Finlandeses. Eleven roaring motor rocking anthems kick off with the title track,
"Saved by Rock 'n'Roll"
IT'S 100% PROOF THAT YOU CANNOT KEEP A GOOD BASTARDO DOWN!
