Lori

Winner of the 2005 Fiesta Mundo Freelancing Contest! As a young child, Lori used to move around a lot with her family, since her father was with the US Air Force. But wherever her family was stationed, Lori would always find time to enroll in dance, piano and singing lessons. Along the way she managed to win several talent contests and blossomed into accomplished performer. Her talents were further honed as she participated in musicals, plays and revues both in Europe and the US, including a concert of classical Filipino love songs accompanied by Filipino classical guitarist, Florante Aguilar. She was also able to land modeling gigs with department stores such as Nordstrom and JC Penny as a young girl. It was only two years ago that she got into collaborating with her brother Leejay (who is also an accomplished performer, being the 2003 Austrian beatbox champion). Lori found another new passion about 3 years ago in songwriting. According to Lori, most of the songs she has written so far are based on real life events or experiences. She recently returned from a one-year long stay in the Philippines. While she was there she was able to have her song heard on WAVE 89.1, participate in radio interviews, perform with a band called Dream Sequence, perform at various radio and corporate events, appeared on a show on MTVphilippines called MTV Siesta, and also open for Gary Valenciano's Soul Full concert. Her experiences in the Philippines has truly shaped her even more as a person and as an artist and for that she is truly grateful. She hopes to be able to continue her pursuit of music here in the U.S. where she now resides.
