Like similar rock artists, Nickelback, Daughtry and 3 Doors Down, Lorenzo's sound is characterized by great songs driven by high-energy guitar.
The Lorenzo story started when Radio Promotion legend, Bill Scull heard Marko's songs, "Little Breakdown" and "2 a.m." at an ascap demo review session. Although Marko didn't even get mentioned for top honors, Scull, who has worked in the industry for years singled him out, signed him to his EO label, changed the band's name to Lorenzo and sent Marko out to record his label's first CD.
That's when Scull and Emanon Records founder, Mike Busch enlisted [future] two-time Juno-Winning producer, Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Hinder, 5-Finger Death Punch) to produce the CD. Churko, (who had just finished working on a Shania Twain album with Mutt Lange), told Scull after he heard the demos, "This is the kind of artist every producer dreams of finding."
Lorenzo quickly rose to become the top independent rock act in the midwest per the Billboard/DiscMakers Independent Music World Series. They got their first Billboard add at WEBN in Cincinnati, and opened for several major acts, such as 3 Doors Down, Shinedown, Default and Hinder.
What followed were live shows with Stone Temple Pilots, Saving Abel and being named the Official Band of "The Big Show" MMA (Mixed Martial arts) which has been televised on the CW and seen in over 30 Million homes worldwide on Sky Network.
Lorenzo songs have been used in Television Shows and DVDs such as "Shark" (CBS), 90210, "Threshold" (CBS), "Girlfriends" (CW) and "3lbs" on (CBS).All of this exposure has led the band is reaching national prominence with such notable sponsors as Red Monkey Headwear, Aquarian Drumheads, Bosphorus Cymbals, Drumnetics Accessories, Gibson Guitars, Budda Amplifiers and Ampeg Amplifiers.
The band is made up of talented and experienced professionals. Guitarist Stuart McConnell is the heart of the dirty rock sound and Bassist, Robert Dirr and Drummer Aaron Farrier create the heavy rhythms that drive the high-energy Lorenzo shows
With a new CD's worth of material already recorded, Lorenzo is a "tour-ready" music machine. As the guys are finishing their new CD – including a Spanish version for overseas release, they are taping a reality show for MavTV with producer David Markus.
This band, built on hit-songs, professionalism and marketability, is the closest thing to a turn-key operation as you can get in the music industry. Stemming from a Rock CD with international crossover potential, the band is well prepared for their moment in the spotlight.
