Lords of the New Church

In the early 1980's, the Lords of the New Church stood out like a sore thumb after MTV began to play 'Open Your Eyes' on a regular basis. They wore black black black at a time when multi-hued new wave get ups were de riguer. They also lacked the standard synthetic drum machine driven snappy pop of the day. These songs still rock, especially when compared to contemporary bands from similar genres.
