L.O.M BIOGRAPHY:



The band was created back in 1999 by Laurent James and Julien Negro. After a few line up and name changes, they finally chose the moniker "Lord Of Mushrooms". They recorded their first album in 2001 for the well-known french recording company Musea : "Lord Of Mushrooms" was issued the next year and was mainly inspired by the music of Dream Theater, Genesis or Rush (among others). This ambitious disc, although it lacked of maturity, received great reviews worldwide.
The album was followed three years later by a more focused and impressive work, "Seven Deadly Songs", a concept album based on the seven deadly sins. Newly signed with Lion Music, it received even greater reviews and allowed the band to perform live outside Europe.
After leaving the progressive shores for a few months, Lord Of Mushrooms is now back with its two founding member to bring a follow up to "Seven Deadly Sins".

Le groupe fut créé en 1999 par Laurent James et Julien Negro. Après plusieurs changements de formation et de nom, ils choisirent finalement "Lord Of Mushrooms". Le premier album du groupe est distribué par le mythique label Musea : "Lord Of Mushrooms" sort en 2002 et est principalement influencé par la musique de Dream Theater, Genesis ou Rush (entre autres). Ce disque ambitieux, bien que manquant encore de maturité, reçoit rapidement de très bons échos dans le monde entier.
Il est suivit trois ans plus tard par un album bien plus travaillé et professionnel, "Seven Deadly Songs", un concept album basé sur les sept pêchés capitaux. Fraîchement signé par Lion Music, il reçoit des chroniques bien plus élogieuses que le premier et permet au groupe de se produire en concert en dehors de l'Europe.
Après avoir laisser é les rivages du progressif pour quelques temps, Lord Of Mushrooms est aujourd'hui de retour avec ses deux membres fondateur pour apporter un successeur à "Seven Deadly Songs".
