The End

Everything has to die, so is the law of nature. You know: the survival of the fittest, Darwin, gigantic turtles and galapagos and strange little birds with even stranger, never to be seen, beaks and shit and so on and on and etc.

I guess that in the end we weren't one of “the fittest”. Nothing really happened. These two passed years haven't really offered anything. We have been busy recording five songs for a follow up to our first album “Ruhr”, and it has been a very slow process – to slow if you'd ask us. And in the middle of this our bass player left the band to go live in London, and that left a surprisingly big hole in the band. It bothered me 'cause I was about to lose one of my best and oldest friends and as time kept on movin' I discovered that we really couldn't replace him as easy as we wanted to believe, not at all.

So we kept on recording, and recording and recording, and then we recorded a little more. We became so fed up on recording that we started to write new songs instead – I can only speak for my self now – but something had happened. It wasn't as easy as it had been. Nothing worked, it seemed as we were on to different things. You know it's hard to come to a close, to come to a final decision of whats good or not when there are three guitarists and a keyboard player trying to do their thing at the same time with out a solid good ground to stand on. That's my opinion.

But we managed to make one new ass kickin' song during all this and on our last show we made it in to a twenty minute monster and it was the only song we played, 'cause we were still bassless, and it was great.

Still, I really needed to do something drastic, I wasn't quite at home and I didn't recognize the band: it's spirit was gone, or rapidly decaying. This beauty was starting to fall a sleep and so was my song writing and I really needed to write songs – that is, kind of, the thing I do.

So to prevent my self from drowning in the deep and dark waters of discreativity I made the choice to quit the band. This then led to the final doom; the nothingness.

Lolita Stasi is no more
