Lock Mess

Jeff "DJ Lock Mess" Messier has taken the art of DJing from the studio to the stage for over a decade.



This multiple recipient of the Best DJ Award (Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam Readers Pole), currently resides with his band Otherwise, which is defined as a eclectic mix of Reggae, Electronica, and Hip-Hop.



Despite his notable work with live musicians, he has never lost site of his roots, and can be seen manning the turntables throughout the Northeast.



His recent work includes: Otherwise's "Come With Music" LP (2010) where he takes on the role as a DJ, Vocalist, and MC.



So what’s next for Lock Mess? “I plan on working on a few collaboration projects and hopefully find a local residency." In the meantime, he is open for Dj bookings, and can be seen performing Otherwise.



DJ Lock Mess along with his band mates, have also shared billing with artists such as, 311, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Method Man, The Ying Yang Twins, DJ Shadow, Snoop Dog, Disco Biscuits, The New Deal and more.



Blending DJ skills from the past with the technology of today, DJ Lock Mess continues exploring the possibilities of the turntable.
