'If a Harp had a voice it would sound like Liz Madden' was how writer Gregg Senko recently described international recording artist, singer, songwriter and performer, Liz Madden. Liz is a classically trained vocalist from a traditional Irish background, a Vocal Coach for many years and originally born in Ireland. Liz is a multi-instrumentalist playing numerous traditional instruments and is constantly adding new ones to her repertoire.
Liz Madden's resume reads like that of many professional artists having been around the world and proven that she not only has a dedicated audience, but that she crosses boundaries of her guild and brings together the best in her art. That is what has brought her to the forefront of Celtic singers as being popular and known as such. Alone on stage, she has the prescience to carry the show and has done so with great success throughout her career. She brings a gift to any performance and lives to pour her soul into her music.
As a recording artist Liz has produced three solo albums My Irish Home, Christmas Celebration and Going Home, one album with Shishonnah along with three albums with Rua. Globally Liz's voice and original compositions have featured on over 60 compilation albums, in Film and TV including the international TV ad campaign for FUJI Finepix. Liz has worked with producers like Richard Cottle(David Bowie, Eric Clapton & Seal), Paul Barrett (U2 & Sinead O'Connor) and James Graydon (Westlife & Emma Bunton). Liz is a member of Shishonnah along with Jenne Lennon and Roland Labana. They have just released their new album "Elysian Dreams" which is a blend of Celtic, Native American and World music.
In addition to her music, she has just completed her first book entitled 'Letters from The Ancients'.
Liz has headlined worldwide at events such as the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in France, the Catskills Irish Weekends and the 2nd Annual Heritage Days Festival in the USA, the 7th China International Folk & Art Festival and the World Music Festival Tel-Aviv Israel where she performed with full orchestra. Liz was honored to be the only performer asked to play at the inaugural Nobel Women's Initiative International Conference where she performed Irish music in front of an international audience from over eighty countries including five of the Nobel Peace Laureates.
2013 sees Liz perform with Shishonnah in Chicago this March along with other performances in Europe.
