Lirica Soul

Expresion. Esta seria la palabra que mejor podria describir "lo que hago". Bien sobre un pedacito de papel, bien a traves de la musica que me llena dia a dia, bien a traves del diseno de textos y graficos. o quiza dibujando en un papel. Mayte significa amor y pasion y eso es lo que quiero compartir con los que me escuchan. Me ha costado mucho abrir esta puerta, ahora entiendo que compartiendo lo que siento, como siento, encuentro mas personas que sienten del mismo modo. Mi poesia que no se puede leer, nace de mi musica interna, bajo la influencia del soul y hip hop sobre todo, ademas de todo lo que llevo dentro. Real, directa, dulce y al mismo tiempo amarga. Eso si. eterna soñadora.



Un saludo a toda mi gente en España, UK, USA, Senegal, Paris, Italia, Ghana. y alla donde esteis por formar parte de mi vida y gracias a los que disfrutan de mi lirica, amor y pasion a traves de mi musica. Sin ti esto no tendria sentido.

I love music. I have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I drink it, I breathe it. I write it, I design it. I dance it, I hear it, I see it, I speak it. I just don't know how the wheel would keep turning without music. Everything contains music.



I write poetry about my emotions, my feelings, my thoughts, views and lessons of love&life, the past, the present, and the future. Facts that indeed determine the life of any woman -in this case- and how we interpret and feel whatever is happening to and around us. and I tell you, I am not scared of saying whatever I mention in my rhymes.



I write most of the times from my own self. I I I. my my my. me me me. Because I don't consider that I am anybody -yet.lol- to start discussing about the system, the non-justice, what others do or don't do, politics. etc. As I see it, I think is very easy to sit down and start criticizing about what is there in front of us, bragging about this person or the other, complaining when things arent working. And I do believe Revolution comes within oneself. If we all take a look inside one self, getting to know our weak or bad points, trying not to commit the same mistakes and working on being a better person, well. I do not think there would even be any space for war. OK c'mon you know what I mean :).
