Rascals formerly known as Lil’ Rascals and originally consisting of Big Shizz, Tempz and Merkz, arrived on the UK music scene late 2007, aged just twelve & thirteen with their debut double sided single ‘New Era/ Future Wifey’,

‘Future Wifey’ was their official version excursion on Fluke's (Crazy Cousinz) infamous ‘Wifey Riddim’. Released on 16th July 2007 - New Era went straight into the Channel AKA (formerly known as Channel U, UK's No.1 Urban Youth Music Channel) Chart at No. 5, remaining there for a further 13 weeks, followed by another 12 weeks in the Top 20.

This was quickly followed up in October 2007 of that year with their second single promo release ’Bang Your Headz’, featuring the then 12-year old MC Blizzard from Manchester’s MC trio ‘Mayhem’. ‘Bang Your Headz’ went straight in at the Number 1 spot on Channel AKA and many of the other youth orientated video charts at the time, remaining there for 13 consecutive weeks, and spending a further 25 weeks in the Top 10.

Love them or hate them, Rascals were an underground smash, aimed predominately at a target audience of the same age. Rascals were in fact ‘urban cult heroes’ to a generation of 9 -13 year olds who were cool enough to track down their sound and like it!

Rascals were sponsored during the above campaigns by Defenders Ent, Adidas, New Era and Streetz Iz Watching.

Rascals were born and raised in East London’s Bow, A historically famous hotspot and home to some of the most influential UK urban talent right now, (Think Dizzie, Wiley, Kano, Tynchy, Roll Deep, Bless Beats, to name but a few), started their musical careers, aged 11 & 12, as part of a 10+ MC group called “Younger Mucky Wolfpack” which was founded by grime veteran MC God’s Gift. In the last four years Rascals have worked with or alongside many of the UK Urban National Chart toppers plus many of the best known acts on the underground such as Tinie, Tynchy, Ironik, Roll Deep, Wiley, Bless Beats, N-Dubz, Sway, Ghetts, Crazy Cousinz, Maxsta plus many more.

In 2008 Rascals recruited the services of Ryan De La Cruz, an 11-year old East London native and started recording several tracks with him, including fan favorite “1st Love”, making him an honorary member in the process. During the next 18 months, the boys received bookings throughout the UK, whilst recording an album worth of tracks, many features and concentrating on their GCSE’s.

Fast forward Summer 2010, with over four million internet hits, and currently generating approximately 10,000 YouTube hits per week with no market activity. Big Shizz, Tempz, Merkz (Rascals) and Ryan De La Cruz decide it’s time to get back to work, recruit long time Bow resident and childhood friend, Singer/MC 17 – year old Kay Willz (Ex – Mucky Wolfpack) and hit the studio.

Eight weeks later, signed to UK Music Executive, Steve Long’s new Management team SBD, “Allow Me To Re-Introduce Myself” produced by Wundah (Blessed Youth Ent) is the first promo offering from the New - Look Team Rascals.
